Operation Joint Cycle Enforcement

Today we supported colleagues from neighbouring wards in a joint operation across multiple locations in Knightsbridge and the surrounding area, including Lowndes Square & Albert Gate, Princes Gardens & Prince Consort Road, and Exhibition Road at Kensington Gore.

The operation focused on cyclists and e-bike riders committing offences such as riding through red traffic lights, cycling on the pavement, and travelling the wrong way down one-way streets.

Officers were deployed at key hotspot locations and successfully stopped a number of offenders, issuing approximately 100 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).

This was a positive and proactive operation, demonstrating strong teamwork across wards. Our aim is to improve road safety, reduce risks to pedestrians, and ensure all road users comply with traffic laws.

We will continue to carry out enforcement activity to keep our communities safe.
